2000-01 Highlights: Enjoyed a successful junior campaign, totaling a 19-15 singles record and 11-17 doubles mark...her 19 singles wins was tied for third best on the team...opened the spring season by winning eight of her first 10 matches, competing mainly in the No. 5 singles position...also finished the year by taking four of her last six singles outings...finished the year competing at No. 2 doubles with teammate Kim Harris...played with four different doubles partners during the season...notched a perfect 3-0 record en route to a flight title last fall at the Bowling Green Invitational...her 56 career singles wins ranks her eighth on the UIC career singles victories list.
1999-2000 Highlights: Built on her successful freshman campaign with a strong sophomore effort, posting a 16-19 singles record and 12-14 doubles mark….ended the season playing some of her best tennis, winning six of her last nine singles matches…was especially tough at the 2000 MCC Championship, going undefeated in singles and doubles play…with doubles teammate Kim Harris, the duo went 4-3 at the No. 3 spot down the stretch; including wins in both of their matches at the MCC Tournament.
1998-99 Highlights: Only the third freshman in UIC history to win 20 singles atches...won seven of her last nine singles outings of the year...was virtually unbeatable at the No. 6 singles position, registering a 10-4 record at that
slot...rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Courtney Caress of Butler at No. 6
singles in the title match of the MCC Championships...saw limited action in
doubles competition, compiling a 4-10 record.
Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner at Forest High School...ranked
as high as No. 39 in the Florida Section and No. 2 in the North Central
District...three-time Ocala Star-Banner Player of the Year...helped Forest
advance to the state tournament three times...was a finalist in both No. 1
singles and doubles at the district championship in each of her four years,
winning the title twice...honor roll student...four-time Scholar-Athlete Award
winner...daughter of Berne and Martha Stalzer...born March 1, 1980...majoring in
nursing.
