Indianapolis, Ind. - The UIC women's tennis team picked off Cleveland State, 4-2, in the Semifinals at the Horizon League Championships on Saturday.

The Flames nabbed the doubles point with ease, as Lubica Nadasska and Kristen McPhillips made easy work of Melissa Holzinger and Jackie Tabb at No. 1 doubles, winning the match, 8-2. Grace Gill-Morlis and Ulrikke von Ubisch followed suit, defeating Charlotte Gibbons and Morgan Ungerott at the second slot, 8-1.

The top three singles competitors finished things off for UIC, as Ilinca Cristescu continued her winning ways at No. 1 singles, defeating Holzinger 7-5, 6-0. Nadasska and McPhillips closed out the match for the Flames after Cleveland State picked up two singles wins at the fourth and sixth positions.

The Flames will look to earn their 12th consecutive Horizon League title and a 10th NCAA tournament berth when they face Butler in the league championship match tomorrow, Sunday the 27th, at 10:30 a.m. EST.
